Srinagar
Srinagar is a very beautiful and religious city among the major tourist places in Pauri district. Srinagar is situated on Badrinath and Kedarnath road.
Srinagar is situated on the left bank of Alaknanda and at a distance of 30 km from Pauri, the present Srinagar was established in the year 1358 by the Garhwal king Mahipati Shah.

About 800 years before the present time, when Keshav Rai was traveling to Badrinath, he fell asleep at this place due to extreme fatigue, when he was sleeping, at that time Lord Badrinath came in his dreams and told him in a dream that you are from here. After this he told them not to go further, that where he slept, there is my idol in the ground at the same place.
When Lord Badrinath informed him about this, he took out that idol and established a temple here and now this temple is in ruins.
When there was a flood in Srinagar in 1894 AD, this temple was submerged and filled with sand and the base of one-fourth part of the temple was eroded and even after the top part of the temple was demolished, this temple remained standing which for years. suffered many disasters
During the Kedarnath disaster in 2013, some part of this temple was washed away in the river, at present you will get to see only some part.

After that Lord Vishnu killed the Asuras with his Sudarshan Chakra, this temple is very ancient and very beautiful panoramic view, here devotees from all over the country and abroad bring their wishes, especially on Shivaratri, Lord Shiva is worshiped here.
Shankar Math
Shankar Math Temple is located at a distance of about 3 km from the city of Srinagar. It is believed that this temple was built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya.
But according to the historian of Garhwal, King Pradeepshah of Garhwal had built this temple in the memory of his successful matriarch Shankar Doval in Samvat 1763.
In the sanctum sanctorum of this temple, the four-armed form of Lord Vishnu will be seen and Mata Lakshmi will be seen. This temple shows its oldest scenes and the writings written in this ancient temple give evidence of its ancientness.
