The first place is Rishikesh, if you have come to Rishikesh, then definitely go to Triveni Ghat and take a bath here and get the blessings of Mother Ganga.

After this we go a little further then we see Janki Setu bridge here, it is named after Janaki Setu Mata Sita.

Going a little further than this, we will get to see Ram Jhula. The name of the swing has been named after Maryada Purushottam Lord Ramchandra ji and from here you will get to see beautiful natural scenery as well as mountain ranges of high peaks.

A little further than this, you will get to see Laxman Jhula. This swing is named after Lakshman ji, the younger brother of Lord Ramachandra ji. There is a beautiful temple here and this place is full of natural beauty.

10 major tourist places in Rishikesh

Tapovan It is situated at the northern end of Rishikesh near Laxman Jhula in Tehri district, at this place Lakshman ji did penance.
Laxman Jhula Badrinath This swing bridge built on the Ganges river, 5 km north of Rishikesh on the way to Kedarnath, is a place of excursion, here a temple of Laxman ji is situated.
Triveni Ghat is a bathing ghat known for the daily evening aarti on the banks of the Ganges.
Neelkanth Mahadev Temple This temple is situated on a hill 8 km from Laxman Jhula.
Bharat Mandir Bharat Mandir is the oldest temple in Rishikesh. It is located near Triveni Ghat.
Kailash Niketan Temple, located near Laxman Jhula, this temple is very important, here the idols of all the gods and goddesses have been installed in a 13-storey building, this place comes in Pauri district.
Sivanand Jhula Ram Jhula also famous as Jhula bridge is situated on the river Ganges near Swarg Ashram
Shatrughan Temple This ancient temple is dedicated to Shatrughan, the younger brother of Lord Rama. It is situated at a distance of 5 kms from Rishikesh.

Muni ki Reti Rishikesh This place is situated on the right side of the Ganges in Tehri district, in front of it Swarg Ashram, Geeta Ashram and Geeta Bhawan and Bhootnath temple are established here, all of them are major tourist places in Rishikesh.

Devprayag

After Rishikesh we reach Devprayag via Badrinath Kedarnath road. Devprayag is the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. There are 2 kunds here which are known as Brahma Kund and Vashisht Kund.

This place is very beautiful and picturesque, here the Raghunath temple of Lord Ramchandra ji is established, whoever is a tourist going to Badrinath and Kedarnath, they must go here after taking a bath at this confluence.

Srinagar

From Devprayag, we reach Srinagar on the Badrinath-Kedarnath road. I'm going to inform you

1. Dhari Devi Temple This temple is dedicated to Mata Kali Devi, here people believe that as the day progresses, changes keep happening in this idol, this idol first appears in the form of a girl, then it turns into a woman. After that it turns into an old woman. People here have great faith in Dhar Devi temple.

2. Som Ka Bhanda This temple is located in Devalgarh, it used to be the capital of kings in ancient times and along with it there are also caves of ancient Nath Siddhas, on which inscriptions are present even today.

3. Keshorai Math is located near Srinagar, it is named after Keshav Rai of South India.

4. Shankar Math Shankar Math is located at a distance of 3 km from Srinagar, it was built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya.

5. Kamleshwar Temple This temple is located near Srinagar, here it is believed that Lord Rama worshiped Lord Shiva with 1000 lotus flowers. Since then this temple was named as Kamleshwar Temple, along with this temple is also famous as Putra Data, it is a major religious and tourist destination for tourists visiting Srinagar.

Rudraprayag

Rudraprayag comes after Srinagar while going from Rishikesh to Chopta. This place is the main stop for the journey of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham. Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet.

An ancient temple of Rudranath is located here. In the Mahabharata period, the name of this place was Rudravat. Pilgrims and tourists come to bathe at this confluence of Rudraprayag.

There are more than 200 Shiva temples established here, settlements have been made on the slopes of the narrow valleys of Alaknanda Mandakini.

From here, a motorway leads to Kedarnath and another motorway leads to Badrinath and the third to Nagnath Pokhari. Rudraprayag is a very beautiful city situated in the lap of nature.

Chopta

From Rudraprayag we have to go through Chopta Pokhari road which takes us to Chopta. When we proceed from this route, then this entire area comes under Panch Kedar, as soon as we proceed to Chopta, then from here we have a view of the beautiful mountain ranges of the Himalayas, the Nanda Ghat peak.

Moving forward, we get to see dense forests of bamboo and birch on the way, which are full of picturesque and beautiful views, this view attracts tourists towards itself, the height here is about 12000 feet above sea level.

After walking 3 kilometers from here, we see Tum Nath temple at an altitude of 13000 feet. This Tungnath temple is one of the Panch Kedars. To go from Chopta to Tungnath, which has to travel 3 kilometers.

There is a beautiful bugyal on the walkway and one gets to experience the scenery full of natural beauty. If you want to see the beauty of Chopta, then you are definitely here, this place is like heaven on earth. The best time to come here is in the month of July-August, at which time you can easily see the beauty of this place.

In these months, the velvety grass is spread far and wide, and the beautiful flowers blooming in the middle of these gardens fascinate the mind as soon as they see these long meadows, the beauty of these flowers is very attractive.

The beauty of the flowers here is worth seeing and to see this view, you have to come here in the months of July and August.
