 Neem Karauli Baba, who is known not only in the country but also abroad for his tenacity, Maharaj ji is counted among the greatest saints of the twentieth century, the birth place of Neem Karauli Baba in Akbarpur village, which is in district Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh.  Neem Karauli Baba Ashram is located on the left side of Bhuwaligad, 7 km from Kainchi, Nainital, Bhuwali. This Dham is also known as Kainchi Mandir, Neem Karauli Dham as well as Neem Karauli Ashram.  This temple established by Neem Karoli Maharaj, 8 km from Bhuvali on the Nainital Almora road, has become an important stop today. 7 km away from Bhuvali is located on the left side of Bhuwaligad. This Dham is also known as Kainchi Mandir, Neem Karauli Dham as well as Neem Karauli Ashram.

This temple was built by Baba Neem Karauli Maharaj Ji, who is famous all over the world by the name of Miraculous Baba. Baba Neem Karauli Maharaj ji is not known as Miraculous Baba in Uttarakhand itself, but the stories of his miraculous have spread to foreign countries.

An annual function is held in Kainchi Dham temple on 15th June every year, on this day there is a huge crowd of devotees of Baba.

Baba Ji is one of the Indian divine men of this era. Everyone calls Shri Neem Karoli Baba as Maharaj Ji. It is believed that when Maharaj ji was only 17 years old, he knew everything which in today's age people cannot understand, he had received so much knowledge about God at such a young age.

Neem Karauli Baba ji had built about 108 Hanuman temples in his lifetime Baba Neem Karauli ji did not boast even though he was a great scholar and an introvert, he lived a simple life.

  How was the early life of Neem Karauli Baba ji?

Neem Karauli Baba ji's first name was Laxminarayan Sharma, he was born around 1900 in Akbarpur, Uttar Pradesh district. Neem Karoli Maharaj's father's auspicious name was Shri Durga Prasad Sharma. His early education was completed in a village called Kirhinam of Akbarpur. Lakshmi Narayan Sharma was married at the young age of just 11 years. Baba ji soon left the house and stayed away from home for about 10 years.

During this he traveled 35 km from Morbi in Gujarat. He spent 7-8 years in a distant village named Vavaniya where he had done severe spiritual practice. He established the Hanuman temple at Vawaniya which is situated near a pond.

After some years his father met him and asked him to follow the household life. Neem Karauli Baba returned home following his father's order and started living a household life again. Neem Karauli Baba Ji used to help people in household life as well as in religious and social work.
